Application process
Overseas applicants are welcome to apply, but as with UK applicants, they would need to meet any expenses incurred individually. Generally speaking, nationals from outside the EEA would need permission to do work experience, even though it is unpaid. More information is available from the UK Government Home Office and work permits sites. Overseas applicants will be asked to produce their passport/travel document at the commencement of their work experience placement to confirm their eligibility. Applicants should ensure that their application is clear and well presented. They should try and think of specific examples to demonstrate their understanding of and interest in the placement. Apply online to specific work placements.
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) offers various unpaid Work Experience Placements throughout the year. British and overseas applicants are welcome to apply. Applicants should have a passion for and knowledge of the placement area.
