Application process
Job applications are available on-line. If applicants wish to apply for a position with AEON by post, please submit a current resume along with a one-page essay titled "Why I Want to Live and Work in Japan." Positions are filled year-round on a monthly basis, and applications should be made at least two to six months before the desired departure month.

A typical work week at AEON is 36-hours consisting of no more than 25 teaching hours, with the remaining hours spent on office responsibilities and lesson preparation. Office responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing prospective students, recommending texts, counseling students, completing progress reports, and greeting students in the lobby. All English teachers are expected to maintain a professional attitude and appearance, show enthusiasm and creativity in their lessons, actively participate in all meetings, workshops and AEON-related campaigns, show flexibility and a continued drive to improve and share and exchange cultural information with students and other teachers.
