There are no prerequisites for programmes and volunteers do not need to have any formal qualifications or language skills, just enthusiasm and a dedication to volunteering and the volunteering sector. To apply, either attend an open day or contact IYCE directly.

Short and long term projects are available for volunteers who wish to make a difference by volunteering their time internationally. Projects take place in Africa, Latin America and Asia and range from working with street children in Ecuador, teaching English or French in Morocco, promoting HIV awareness among women in Kenya, to media work in Nigeria. A wide range of environmental projects are available in Costa Rica. Short and long term projects are available for volunteers who wish to make a difference by volunteering their time internationally.
