Funding to Go Abroad

Under the Master Scholarship Programme (MSP) students receive a partial stipend during their Master’s degree course and the offer of an assistantship.

To facilitate access to Master’s degrees by students with qualifications from foreign universities, the University of Lausanne makes available around ten Master’s grants which are awarded on a competitive basis.

The Italian Government awards scholarships for studying in Italy both to foreign citizens and Italian citizens resident abroad (IRE). The aim of these scholarships is fostering international cultural cooperation, spreading the Italian language, culture and science knowledge and promoting the economic and technological sectors of Italy all around the world....

The IT University of Copenhagen offers state scholarships to three or four exceptionally talented MSc applicants (full-degree students) from outside EU and EEA every year.

A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered to highly talented students at graduate level, who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and need a residence permit to study at Roskilde University.

The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture awards annually a number of scholarships for studies in Icelandic as a second language at the University of Iceland, Reykjavík.

Reykavik University awards grants to outstanding freshmen for their first semester at RU. The purpose of the grant is to encourage outstanding students to an ambitious study and to help them to dedicate themselves fully to their study.

The University of Helsinki is giving about 50 start-up grants to qualified degree students who are accepted to study in an International Master's Degree Programme.

University of Oulu does not charge tuition fees from international degree students.

The Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine has also established a Protein Science International Master’s Scholarship Programme to provide scholarships to academically talented international students who undertake the international master’s in Protein Science and Biotechnology at the University of Oulu.
