WHO's Internship Programme provides a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight into the work of WHO. Every year a limited number of places for internships are available. Internships are available in a wide variety of areas related to the technical work of WHO. Prospective interns are asked to familiarize themselves with the WHO departments and technical work so they can specify which area of WHO would be most suitable for them. A brief list of departments follows, but be sure to check the website for further information: :: Communicable Diseases :: Family and Community Health :: General Management :: Global Polio Eradication Initiative :: Health Action in Crisis :: Health Systems and Services :: Health, Technology and Pharmaceuticals :: HIV / AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria :: Information, Evidence and Research :: Non-communicable Diseases and Mental Health :: Sustainable Development and Healthy Environments Most WHO internships are based at Headquarters in Geneva. If you are interested in applying for an internship in one of the WHO regional or country offices where a limited number of internships may be available, you must contact that regional office directly.
