World Bank: Junior Professional Associates Programme

This two-year, entry-level programme is for recent graduates with superior academic records and an interest in international work. Positions may be located in any of the Bank's offices across the world. In a JPA assignment, you'll require strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, knowledge of technology and the web, and research abilities. JPAs work with more senior colleagues and project teams in their operational work. You'll have an opportunity to hone your skills and acquire new ones while gaining first-hand exposure to the challenges of development and poverty alleviation. Experience under the JPA programme can be used as a stepping stone to a career in government, consulting, the private sector, or academia. The JPA Programme is not an entry point for a career in the World Bank and employment beyond the initial two-year contract will be prohibited for a period of two years after the end of the contract. However, some alumni may rejoin the organization later in their careers after gaining experience elsewhere and becoming experts in their professional fields.
