United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE): Internship Programme
The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) accepts interns from time to time on an ad hoc basis. The internships are open to graduate or post-graduate students, who have specialized in a field related to UNECE programmes of work, namely: environment, transport, statistics, sustainable energy, trade, timber and forests, housing and land management, population, and economic cooperation and integration. Occasionally, the Commission has a need for interns with specific skills and will post those internship opportunities.

The working languages of UNECE are English~ French and Russian.
Application process
To qualify for UNECE internship programme, the applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher) at the time of application and during the internship. Applicants are asked to send the following: - Curriculum vitae; - Completed internship application for (available online); - Statement of the particular field of activity in which they wish to work together with the dates they are available. Applications can be sent all year but candidates are encouraged to apply as early as possible, especially for the summer period. The applications will be considered by the appropriate divisions of UNECE with a view to matching the applicant’s interests and qualifications with the current UNECE needs. If as a result a meaningful assignment can be devised, an internship will be offered.
