Canadian Mission to the European Union: Internships for Canadian citizens

Offers Canadian citizens an opportunity to improve their understanding of Canada-Europe relations and European integration more generally, while contributing to the Mission's objectives. By participating in the work of the Mission, under the supervision of one of the Mission Counsellors, participants gain practical insight into the conduct of Canadian diplomacy in Europe, the issues at stake in the Canada-EU relationship, and the process of European integration in general.

Application process
Application deadlines are usually in the spring of each year. Apply online or download an information package. A small number of candidates will be short-listed for interviews. Final selections will be based on the information provided on the application form; performance during the interview; possibly an example of a text written by the candidate; reference checks; and the Mission's operational needs. In addition, in order to work at the Mission, successful candidates will have to pass an "enhanced reliability" security clearance. Canadian citizenship required.
