Aga Khan Foundation Canada: International Youth Fellowships

These fellowships, sponsored by AKFC in collaboration with Global Affairs Canada, is designed to develop leadership and management skills and promote learning for outstanding young Canadians who have a desire and an aptitude to work effectively in a global environment. The IDM programme builds on fifteen years of success in which more than 210 university graduates have received focused study and practical experience that has enabled them to pursue leadership positions in their chosen fields.
International Development Management (IDM) Fellows benefit from placements in a variety of organizations, working in fields such as health, education, rural development, and civil society strengthening. Placements include positions in research, project management, communications, and monitoring and evaluation. International Microfinance and Microenterprise (IMM) Fellows gain experience with an organization involved in microfinance or market development, to develop skills in the day-to-day operations and evaluation of these programs.
