The main objectives of the Internship Programme are: -to provide students with an opportunity to acquire professional and practical experience at the African Development Bank; and - to provide the Bank with a pool of potential candidates for future recruitment purposes. (However applicants should not expect the internship to lead to immediate employment with ADB.)

Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for internship, applicants must meet the following criteria: - applicants must be students, aged at least eighteen (18) years, and currently enrolled in an educational institution of higher learning; - applicants must be citizens of one of the Bank’s member countries; and - applicants must be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the Bank (English or French). The ADB Internship Programme The main objectives of the Internship Programme are: * to provide students with an opportunity to acquire professional and practical experience at the African Development Bank; and * * to provide the Bank with a pool of potential candidates for future recruitment purposes. (However applicants should not expect the internship to lead to immediate employment with ADB.) Eligibility Criteria To be eligible for internship, applicants must meet the following criteria: * applicants must be students, aged at least eighteen (18) years, and currently enrolled in an educational institution of higher learning; * applicants must be citizens of one of the Bank’s member countries; and * applicants must be fluent in at least one of the working languages of the Bank (English or French). Application Procedures Applicants are required to complete an ADB internship application form and forward it, with the endorsement of their educational institutions, by post. Completed applications must reach the Bank no later than the 31st of December for internships that are expected to commence the following year. Documents to be submitted by the Applicants: - duly completed ADB internship application form, counter-signed by the applicant's educational institution or sponsoring agency; - current CV and cover letter; - copies of the latest educational certificates and transcripts or equivalent institutional records; - a letter of recommendation from the academic institution he/she is currently attending; and - a brief description of the programme or the topi
