African Conservation Experience: Wildlife Volunteering in Africa

Whether you want to get hands-on in a wildlife rehabilitation centre, experience life as a wildlife vet, learn how to track wildlife or join a research project in a national park – volunteering with African Conservation Experience allows you to make a real difference to wildlife in southern Africa.

Embark on the adventure of a lifetime and make a genuine contribution to the preservation of some of the most diverse and vulnerable ecosystems on Earth.

With over a fifteen years experience, African Conservation Experience is the original and most experienced organisation at placing people on worthwhile conservation projects in southern Africa. Volunteering stays are flexible - there are opportunities all year round and you choose how long you want to volunteer for. Projects vary in their focus and range from gaining wildlife veterinary experience while working alongside experienced vets in the field to assisting with game capture operations, tracking and monitoring rhinos to safeguard them from poaching, conducting wildlife surveys and behavioural studies to caring for injured and orphaned animals in wildlife rehabilitation centres.
