Application process
Unskilled but willing volunteers are welcome; more skilled volunteers are more welcome. Those wishing to volunteer should email Iracambi an up to date copy of their CV/Resume and also provide the following details: * How do you feel you can benefit the project? * What interests you about the project? * What relevant experience and interests do you have? * What other interests do you have? * What expectations do you have from your time with Iracambi? * What language skills do you have? * What date are you planning to come to Iracambi and how long are you going to stay? * How did you find out about Iracambi? Once the project has been clarified Iracambi will offer volunteers a place and give them the terms and conditions to check through. Pre-departure information and any updates needed on the project and their work will be provided.

Certification

Academic credit is available for students.
Iracambi assists with forest corridors to link islands of threatened forest. Iracambi researches forest based products and income generation through Payment for Environmental Services. They work in GIS, Environmental Education, and Public Policy and contribute to saving forests and changing lives. Volunteers help with one or more of the following: * Land use management; * Forest restoration; * Income generating alternatives; * Community understanding and engagement.
