These positions are unpaid.
These internships take place in the UNOV Linguistic and Library Support Unit. The Unit provides referencing and terminology services to CMS and other United Nations entities in Vienna. It also provides library support for all United Nations units in Vienna, handling all requests for books, journals, articles, and inter-library loans, maintaining the catalogue and providing training. Internship activities could involve: - Assisting Unit staff by providing analytical, logistical administrative support to facilitate the work of the unit. - Undertaking research on specific projects, e.g., in the systematic review of terminology in particular languages or subject areas. - Participating in the development and evaluation of client surveys. - Undertaking library reference or archival research on specific projects. - Participating in the development of training materials (e.g. presentations and scripts). - Participating in the development and evaluation of client surveys. - Assisting in the cataloguing of items for the UN-Vienna library catalogue.
