The IT University of Copenhagen offers state scholarships to three or four exceptionally talented MSc applicants (full-degree students) from outside EU and EEA every year.

A limited number of Danish state tuition fee waivers and scholarships are offered to highly talented students at graduate level, who come from countries outside of the EU/EEA and need a residence permit to study at Roskilde University.

The Icelandic Ministry of Education, Science and Culture awards annually a number of scholarships for studies in Icelandic as a second language at the University of Iceland, Reykjavík.

Reykavik University awards grants to outstanding freshmen for their first semester at RU. The purpose of the grant is to encourage outstanding students to an ambitious study and to help them to dedicate themselves fully to their study.

The University of Helsinki is giving about 50 start-up grants to qualified degree students who are accepted to study in an International Master's Degree Programme.

University of Oulu does not charge tuition fees from international degree students.

The Faculty of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine has also established a Protein Science International Master’s Scholarship Programme to provide scholarships to academically talented international students who undertake the international master’s in Protein Science and Biotechnology at the University of Oulu.

The High North Fellowship program offers scholarships to students from Canada, Japan, Russia, South Korea and the US who attend an institution in Northern Norway as part of their higher education.

A tuition fee waiver means that no money is paid to the student but the tuition fee will be waived for the total length of the programme. Approximately 30 tuition fee waivers are available for students from non-EU/EEA/EFTA countries who apply for a Master’s programme at KTH.

The LiU International Scholarship is aimed at supporting international students with significant academic potential from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees for studies.
