This scholarship was established by the IES Abroad Board of Directors to honor the memory of William E. Dwyer, Jr., the father of the current IES Abroad president, Dr. Mary Dwyer.

Open to students who have an interest in urban studies.

Open to students who are currently attending a Hispanic-Serving Institution that is a member of Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU).

Open to students who are currently attending an HBCU, a historically black college or university.

Ms. Diamond created the Kathleen Kervin Diamond Endowed Scholarship because she felt privileged to have had a year abroad, studying and learning language and culture. Ms. Diamond feels strongly that students today, no matter their financial circumstances, should have access to study abroad.

This scholarship honors the legacy of the Koutnys and is funded by the generous donations of IES Abroad Vienna alumni.

It provides financial assistance to high-achieving undergraduate students at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley who are interested in international study.
